Prathima and Praveen - two strangers who met through mutual friends, and became really close in a short span of time. Prathima and Praveen met when they were working together and became inseparable. This made them take the next step and spend the rest of their lives together. Wedding planning was a mammoth task for the two because they had to plan everything from the USA. It is a huge task for NRI's to plan a wedding in India. All that coordination with different service providers like Caterers, Venues, Photographers etc., is daunting. The difference in time and language barriers only add to the stress of planning a wedding but with the support of family and friends, the couple organised everything seamlessly. The couple had to organise their wedding for about 1000 guests and then a reception in a different city. With a lot of planning to be done, Prathima, like every bride-to-be, went on Pinterest and started her Wedding-research. They made to-do lists on what functions they wanted to organise and what service providers they were going to choose. Thanks to Facebook and Instagram, they were able to connect to a lot of people and of course their families helped them with the Wedding preparation. During all this planning, Praveen was held up and couldn't even shop in Chennai for his Wedding Sherwani or his Wedding Suit! The bride thought that Praveen wouldn't be able to reach on time for the engagement ceremony, but luckily he did put a ring on her finger. The wedding had traditional Elai Sapad (Banana Leaf meal) with all the unique delicacies served in Tamilnadu. Prathima carefully planned all her Bridal designer blouses and rocked in her Bridal Nath. She shopped for all her silk sarees at Kanchipuram. Prathima's Wedding outfit was a pink and yellow, zari saree embellished with the classic mango buttas. Her jewellery had gold, green, and pink tones with bangles paired beautifully with the saree colours. For the Wedding reception, which was held at a different banquet hall, Prathima wore a juicy red gown. She looked no less than a Disney Princess in her Red wedding gown!
