Planning a wedding is as stressful as it can be, but the last week before the actual day is the most stress-inducing week ever. Especially in Indian weddings, the rituals start off a few days before the wedding. Hence, the stressful days start earlier. A beautiful wedding ceremony must include coordination with Vendors, family members, etc.. At Matrimony Bazaar, we have developed Wedding Assist just to make sure that you don’t have these stressful days at all. Just in case you’re in a situation like this here are a few things you have to take special care of before your wedding.
Coordinate with ALL vendors!
This is the most important step. Vendors handle multiple events over the week and on ‘good days’ they handle several concurrent orders on the same day. There is a high chance that they might mix up certain specifics that you particularly wanted. To avoid this, stay in touch with them and make sure that they come on time. Assign the task of monitoring the service providers on the wedding day to an enterprising cousin or a friend.
If you opt for Wedding Assist services we do all this and much more for you. We help you connect and coordinate with the best caterers, decorators, venues, etc. so that you get the best deal at the best price. Talk to our wedding planning expert now and stay worry-free.
Try on your Wedding Attire
A dress rehearsal is the smartest thing you can do 1 week before the functions and festivities start. You don’t want to know on your Muhurtham day that your wedding blouse is loose at the back or in the worst case, doesn’t fit you at all.
Wedding arrangements can be stressful and can have an affect on your size / weight. If you are a person who still hasn’t collected the blouses and lehenga from your designer, you are in for trouble. Make sure you get it in time and do a dress rehearsal.
This is not just for Brides but for Grooms as well. Go pick your Wedding suit / Sherwani ASAP.
Finish Packing for pre, during, and post wedding rituals
After trying out all the clothes it's time to pack. Pack smartly and pack in reverse order of wearing i.e., last day’s clothes at the bottom, first day’s on top, and so on.
This way your clothes won’t get wrinkly because of constant unpacking. Keep all your Wedding Gold and Diamond Jewellery separately and assign one of your family members to take care of it all.
If you’re hosting the Wedding ceremonies at a Kalyanamandapam, Resort, or any other type of venue away from home, you’ll need extra clothes to wear after the ceremonies. Make sure you pack comfortable yet good looking clothes.
One more thing to note is to pack for the post-wedding ceremonies which are usually held at the Groom’s place. Pack them separately as well and be prepared for travel. Have a makeup kit and a few snacks packed to take care of munchies. Stay hydrated.
Beauty regime and appointments
It is pretty well known nowadays that on the last week of her wedding, a bride is always at a Beauty Salon.
Finish long-lasting treatments well ahead of time and keep facials, waxing, manicures, pedicures, two to three days before the ceremonies start. It is always a good idea to talk to your Makeup artist and Beautician about the products being used and do a trial 2 to 3 months before the day so that you can test for adverse reactions, if any.
Sleep well and relax
Your face is the mirror of your mental state and all you want your face to show during your wedding is that glowing bridal look and not bags under the eyes. All those expensive treatments in the salon will go to waste if you are super stressed and are not sleeping well.
We know that it is hard to relax while planning for such a big day but chillax. Eat well, drink plenty of fluids, get 30 mins of exercise, and upto 8 hours of sleep. Ask for help if you are finding it difficult to handle all these aspects of the wedding.
